The Swiss Alps offer good opportunities to find winter jobs in Switzerland in hotels in mountain villages and towns where there are ski slopes and other facilities centred around winter tourism.
In the Swiss Alps there are many hotels, bars, restaurants, etc. that need staff. In some jobs you can work with basic English skills, for example in cleaning or cooking. Salaries for this type of work vary depending on the profession, (remember that in Switzerland there are also 13 and 14), so the actual salary will be higher.
Even if it is a seasonal job, in many facilities you have the opportunity to work almost permanently, because after the winter season begins the summer season.
Some facilities (especially hotels) also offer free room and board. In most cases, the costs are low (about 150 € per month), so you will have few expenses.
The contracts offered are usually 40 hours per week with two days off.
If you speak German or French, your chances increase and you can also apply for other jobs, e.g. waiter, gardener, maintenance worker, driver, receptionist, etc.
