If you are interested in working in the fashion industry in Spain, not only as a salesperson but also in other roles, I recommend two of the largest Spanish companies in the sector. Companies that produce and market their garments worldwide.
The first company is Tendam, formerly known as Grupo Cortefiel. It is one of the leading European companies in the fashion industry in the specialty chain shop segment. It was founded in Madrid in 1880 and is present in 90 countries with more than 2,000 points of sale.
It is widespread in many countries, but its main focus is in the Iberian countries (Spain and Portugal).
It operates with the following brands:
- Cortefiel, traditional clothing
- Springfield, young fashion
- Women’s Secret, women’s underwear
- Pedro del Hierro, men’s and women’s fashion
Each brand has its own design team and sales and management structure. They share administrative, financial, technological, commercial and human resources management. The company headquarters are located in Madrid.
